Setting direction and exploring new opportunities is your preference? As Head of 3rd Party Contracts and Alliance Management you are developing and leading a team of experienced 3rd Party Alliance Managers. You are setting direction for the expansion and maintenance of a complex network of CROs/CDMOs for external development of BIs project portfolio of New Biological Entities and Advanced Therapy Medicinal Products.
In your new role, you ensure the success of Development Biologicals pipeline by providing external development and manufacturing options.
You are responsible for the definition and implementation of an overarching DEV Biologicals CMC outsourcing strategy.
To do so, you set the direction, drive, accelerate and streamline the outsourcing process.
You lead a team of highly skilled 3rd Party Alliance managers, which means that you drive the integration of the newly implemented team for our team members, but also within our department. Furthermore, you develop and maintain a collaborative team spirit with an open mindset and learning from failures attitude.
With your in-depth expertise, you run and support outsourcing of development and in-licensing projects.
You act as central point of contact for all outsourcing related decisions and general external partnership topics for Development Biologicals.

PhD in sciences or business with long-term relevant professional experience in biopharmaceutical industry
Several years of experience in 3rd Party Management, Project Management, Sourcing, and/or Business Development and Licensing in the biopharmaceutical industry with proven track-record in negotiating of business transactions
Leadership experience (line management and/or matrix, preferably both)
Strategic thinking and creation of long-term visions as well as short term solutions
Understanding of the whole Biologics value chain from DNA to device in all stages of Development
Requires ability to integrate science, financial, regulatory, legal, competitive and operational aspects to lead and enable interdisciplinary teams to make recommendations to Senior and Executive Management
Requires excellent communication skills (in German and English) and interfaces with worldwide CROs / CDMOs
Readiness for national and international business travels
