Import / Export Analyst (m/f)


Job Description:

Customs and Logistics Tasks

  • Control the Miscellaneous Order (MSO) process and provide support to TID and TI EMEA employees
  • Determine customs tariff number for imports and exports
  • Support the Intrastat-reporting process
  • Monitor freight charges incurred and follow up with the service provider Trax
  • Analyze freight charges and support cost reduction
  • Request and follow up specific transport services
  • Support employees with logistic-related requests
  • Prepare and support audits by customs authorities
  • Work on implementation of new processes with our Logistics Service Provider (LSP)
  • Regularly audit customs clearance activities performed by LSP
  • Regularly review the statement of work for LSP for completeness
  • Train employees on logistic- and customs-relevant topics
  • Get a comprehensive understanding of US, European and German customs regulations


Export Control Tasks:

  • Monitor the open European order book and Identify export license requirements
  • Work with Distributors and Customers on necessary documents for license requests
  • Work with the German BAFA on individual license requests (ElanK2) and ensure correct reporting for the usage of license exceptions
  • Manage End User Certificates and End User Statements
  • Review shipping blocks in SAP GTS and take appropriate actions
  • Work in close cooperation with our European product distribution center in Netherlands and our Logistics service provider in Germany
  • Work on different screening activities, e.g. new customer setups, contracts, foreign visitor requests
  • Regularly review the German Compliance Control Program
  • Get a comprehensive understanding of US, European and German export control regulations
  • Backup for the EMEA Trade Compliance Manager
